The Geeks - Part 2

Ok so we are finally concluding this one .... wow did we have fun standing in line and we have been having even more fun playing the games and figuring out the controls!!




we were soo cold but we met some interesting people. Officially we stood in line for a total of 14 hours, then everyone that stood in line with us (our friends)came to our house for a good warm up and a good breakfast!!

Cheryl's New baby

On Sat my mom and I went to cheryl's baby shower(Cheryl is my cousin). Her name is Madisyn Rennae, she is a cutie!! I think she looks like her mom alot. You can tell that the new grandma is very proud and loves to help out!!! :) There is also a pic of the 2 greatgrandma's!!! Congrats Cheryl and Brent on the new little one in your family!!! The Geeks- Part 1

Any geek/fan of video games will apreciate this one .....
Sunday Nov.19th , it is a historic day for geeks all over the world!!! the "Nintendo Wii" is being released!!!!(for those who don't know it is a video game system) Andrew and I are going to be standing in line at the local Wal-mart to get one of these systems. We are looking forward to it!!! The picture is of a character from one of the games we want to get. When we get it and we have some more pictures then will come "Part 2"...

Random Things

So I know it has been a while since we last posted anything but we have just been soo busy!!!. Andrew has just started school taking a networking and internet security course, and is also still working P/T at Vcom. He loves school and is actually ahead of most of his peers in the course. I have found a nanny job with 3 kids, and will be starting that on the 18th of this month and I am really excited about it. We are so excited for this next year, looking forward to what God has in store for us!! recently we went to Camrose Ab, to drop Chad off at CLBI with my parents, we got to see Mark and Crystal, Colin and Julie and our niece's, it was a lot of fun. Dropping Chad off at school knowing we won't see him very much for the nexy year was wierd, we miss him already. The pictures are of us all in Camrose at Colin and Julie's house. So that is what we have been up to these days!!! we will try to keep our blogg updated more often he he!!God Bless !!

God Moment at a Family Reunion!!!!

On Sunday Aug 6th we went to the Neufled Family Reunion. We had fun, it was neat to see actually how many people we do have in our family, and it was nice to talk and get to know them better. We just couldn't help but notice one little 9yr old girl named Brandi.We saw her walking around for a bit, than she came to us, gave us a few high 5's, and than just went on her way, We assumed she was just bored and was looking for someone to play with. There was one thing we noticed about her, this girl wasn't talking and laughing like most kids do, and in asking around my family, we found out that she was born with parylized vocal chords, so she didn't have a voice, but she could hear perfectly fine. She was currently going through speach thearapy to see if she would be able to develop her voice one day, which was encouraging. We went and talked to people for a bit and mom came to us and asked if we would want to sign (sign language) to someone. She knew we have a friend that is deaf and that we know sign language, so we went to talk to this person and it was that little girl. We started talking to her, and she opened up to us on such a more personal level it was amazing to see the big smile on her face when we did that, after that she followed us around for a while and kept giving us hugs and was just so happy. When we decided to leave we wanted to say goodbye to her , so we found her and said goodbye , she came up to us a gave us both big hugs, she was soo cute. This is common for children to do but how this certain situation affected us was a big part of it. We truly believe that God was talking to us through Brandi, reminding us of his power and showing Carla where He want's her. When we got home that night and talked about how we felt we realized it affected both of us in the same way, at the same time... BIG God moment!!!. That night we prayed and talked really late in the night, Carla realized that she wanted to look for a nanny job in town here somewhere, and continue with co-leading in a ministry for teen girls because that is where her true passion is. We just want to share our story so that maybe someone else can be touched by this girl and our time with her (though not a long time) and that it can maybe be an encouragment to others! Unfortunatly we didn't bring our camera along so we didn't get any pictures of the reunion, ohh well! We can just imagine,as Brandi goes through speach therapy, getting healed, and jumping up and down, singing and praising God with that voice! Healing has become our prayer for Brandi, and we hope we get to see her again one day!!!

New beginings !

We love the married life, we have been busy with work, family and friends!! Carla currently got a new job at Earl's restaraunt as a prep chef and is loving being back in the kitchen. We are blessed to have our family here in s'toon and we spend time with them whenever we have the chance. Recently we went out to Carla's parents to house sit while they were at bible camp and we decided to do the big job of cleaning and painting dad's garage!! ohh boy was that a big job , but we had a lot of help and tons of fun!!! We took a picture of Dad wearing a raggady andy wig and thought it would be a perfect one to add stuff to in photoshop, dad thought it was funny!
